We first met Roger Standen in November 2009 when we purchased his daughter Chelcie one of our amazing Airways Clearance Vests.
Since then we have kept in touch with the family and are always keep up to date on Chelcie's progress. We were absolutely delighted when earlier this year Roger told us how he wanted to complete a sponsored Sky Dive on behalf of Little Treasures Children's Trust!
On the 22nd of October 2010 Roger went down to Headcorn Airfield in Kent to complete his daring challenge. With his family in tow to support and cheer him on, a brave Roger got into the aircraft. The Aircraft then climbed to around 10 000 to 12 000 feet, once at the appropriate height Roger and his instructor then exited the plane and began to freefall.
Roger would have reached speeds of approximately 120 miles per hour. His freefall then ended at around 5,000 feet when the tandem instructor then deployed the main parachute and Roger then began his descent under canopy, until he reached the landing area.
Due to Rogers daring sky dive and fundraising efforts he managed to raise an amazing £1,459 for Little Treasures Children's Trust!
Roger and Little Treasures would like to send our thanks out especially to Keith Miller and Rob Humphrey from Steadfast Cleaning, Keith Holiday from Club Taxi Medway, SC Farlys, and Marino Fish Bar, who each sponsored Roger a special amount to complete his Sky Dive.
We would like to say a massive Thank You to Rodger and everyone that sponsored him to complete his Sky Dive!
Roger was kind enough to send us in some pictures of his Sky Dive that you can see below.
On the 24th of July 2010 Jeff Griffin completed a sponsored sky dive for Little Treasures where he managed to raise over £500.
We would like to say a massive Thank You to Jeff for his fundraising efforts.
Jeff was kind enough to send us some pictures of his Jump which we would like to share with you all.
If you would like to complete a jump for Little Treasures, go to our Fancy a Challenge Page for more details.
Thanks to everybody's kind donations, we were able to take a group of children to the Stubbers Adventure Centre in Upminster in October 2009
We had a very fun day participating in the low level challenge course!
